FINER WOMANHOOD SCHOLARSHIP

Founders Arizona Cleaver, Myrtle Tyler, Viola Tyler, Fannie Pettie and Pearl Neal, known as our Five Pearls, established the organization predicated on 4 major principles: Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood.  Through these principles, members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority encourage the highest standards of scholarship through scientific, literary, cultural and educational programs; promote service projects on college campuses and in the community; foster sisterhood; and exemplify the ideal of Finer Womanhood.

In support of these ideals, the Kappa Psi Zeta Chapter developed the Finer Womanhood Scholarship.  The purpose of the Finer Womanhood Scholarship provides support for a deserving university-bound, female high-school senior from the Greater Sacramento Area, who exemplifies the founding principles of the Sorority: Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Finer Womanhood.

Scholarships are awarded each spring. Stipends are $1,500 to be used for books or other college expenses.
